On June 15, 2005 the Certified Financial Planner Board’s subsidiary Board of Examiners announced the registration of UCA’s new financial planning education program with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc.

Students who successfully complete UCA’s financial planning curriculum are eligible to sit for the CFP® Certification Examination administered by CFP Board.

These degree programs are offered through the Department of Economics, Finance, Insurance and Risk Management (EFIRM).  Thus allowing the integration of economic theory and financial principles with insurance and risk management to prepare students for a variety of careers in the insurance and financial services industry.
