Insurance & Risk Management majors at the University of Central Arkansas were the first in the nation to earn the University Associate Certified Insurance Counselor (UACIC) designation.  On Wednesday, March 2, 2011 UCA held a conferment ceremony to honor those students. 

The conferment speaker was William T. Hold, Ph.D., CIC, CPCU, CLU, co-founder and President of the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC), President of The National Alliance Research Academy, Chief Executive Officer of the Society of Certified Insurance Service Representatives (CISR), and a co-founder of Certified Risk Managers (CRM) International and the Certified School Risk Managers (CSRM) Program – all under the umbrella of The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research, with headquarters in Austin, Texas.
