Victor A. Puleo, Jr. is Associate Professor of Risk Management – Insurance and Personal Financial Planning at the University of Central Arkansas, in Conway, Arkansas. He earned his Ph.D. from The Florida State University.
Dr. Puleo teaches in both the risk management-insurance and financial planning areas. Before joining the faculty at the University of Central Arkansas, he taught at The College of Charleston and Appalachian State University. He received both the Outstanding Teaching and Service Awards from the School of Business and Economics at The College of Charleston in 2002. Dr. Puleo has had articles published in such journals as the Journal of Insurance Issues, Risk Management and Insurance Review, and Best’s Review.
Dr. Puleo spent several years in the insurance industry before choosing to enter the academic community. Because of his professional insurance experience, Dr. Puleo remains actively involved in professional consultation with individuals and organizations in the risk management and insurance industry. He is an Educational Consultant to the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors, Austin, TX.
Dr. Puleo completed summer faculty internships with Fidelity Investments (1986) and Royal & SunAlliance (1998). His faculty internship with Royal & SunAlliance was sponsored by the American Risk and Insurance Association.
