Gamma Iota Sigma
The purpose of Gamma Iota Sigma is · To promote, encourage, and sustain student interest in insurance, risk management, and actuarial science as professions; · To encourage the high moral and scholastic attainments of its members; and · To facilitate interaction of educational institutions and industry by fostering research activities, scholarship, and improved public relations. 
Gamma Iota Sigma students have the opportunity to travel to the annual Management Conference, as well as events, such as Troy University's Surplus Lines Symposium and the Risk and Insurance Management Society's Annual Meeting.
On October 8, 2005 Gamma Iota Sigma chartered the Alpha Psi Chapter at the University of Central Arkansas. The Alpha Psi Chapter began with 43 charter members.
